Production of cabbage in the fourth quarter of 2022 reached 57.26 thousand metric tons, recording a decrease of -0.7 percent from the 57.67 thousand metric tons output in the same quarter of last year. CAR, the highest producer of cabbage for this quarter with a production of 46.09 thousand metric tons, shared 80.5 percent to the country’s total production. The other top producing regions were Northern Mindanao with 6.7 percent share and Central Visayas with 6.2 percent share. Likewise, the area harvested for cabbage dropped to 4.66 thousand hectares in July to December 2022 from 4.68 thousand hectares in the same period of 2021.
