Highlights of the February 2023 Labor Force Survey
1. The country’s employment rate in February 2023 remained at its previous month’s rate of 95.2 percent. In February 2022, employment rate was lower at 93.6 percent. (Table A-1) In terms of magnitude, the number of employed persons in February 2023 was estimated at 48.80 million, higher by 3.32 million from the 45.48 million employed persons reported in February last year. 7. In February 2023, wage and salary workers continued to contribute the largest share of employed persons with 60.9 percent of the total employed population 15 years old and over. This was followed by self-employed persons without any paid employee at 27.2 percent and unpaid family workers at
